Noise / static between tracks on usb

If I convert flac files to wav and put them on a usb flash drive, I get a second of noise or static between the tracks. Anyone know how to fix that?

I've read here that certain players don't like tags in WAV files and this creats the noise at the beginning of tracks. Try removing the metadata tags in the WAV file.

Yes your player has broken WAVE decoding support, as it is playing the tags as audio.

Open dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs >> Advanced and set the WAVE tagging to none.

Thank you. I removed the tags and it worked. That is about the last thing I would have thought of.

Out of interest, what is the player?
