MP3 -> OGG Computer Auto Reboots

Hello I have been using dMC in Win98SE and its been working fine but I have upgraded to a Win XP (XP Home) 2700 2.7 GHZ Athlon 512mb Ram and 80 GB HD and I am coming across new problems. Whenever I Convert MP3 -> OGG it will get to about the 8th file if I am converting 15 files and then Automatically Reboot my machine. It converts 1 file fine but when doing a batch of files it keeps rebooting my machine after every 4th track or so - does the same when ripping from an Audio CD, any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Possibly the computer overheating, no program should be able to 'just reboot' XP.

I'm not an XP user but i heard by default that instead of a blue screen it will reboot itself so you don't see the error. however i was told this can be turned off so you can see the blue screen to get the error message?

Hello I forgot to mention I also have SP1 built into my version of win XP home - how do you turn off auto reboot? and I have tried different fan settings and it keeps doing the same thing.

Press Windows Key + Break, it is one of the options around there (startup and shutdown).

You might want to try installing a program that can show the CPU temperature, I know SCISofts Sandra (a computer speed tester can).
