Batch converter List view - "Invert Selection" command

Hi. I am confused by the (right click) Invert Selection command in the List view of Batch converter. Using ref v14.3.

My interpretation is that it should toggle the checkmarks for the highlighted (selected) files.

However, it does not seem to do this.
All Invert Selection does is toggle the checkmarks for the *entire* list of files, regardless of which files are highlighted (selected) or not.

    Am I doing something wrong?

In a list of 1200 files, if I want to do a conversion on a contiguous group of 114 of them, is there a better way to check (select) *only* those 114 other than manually clicking the checkbox of each file?

    thanks

Toggle inverts the check boxes, has nothing to do with selection highlight.

To select a bunch of files, click the first file, hold shift and click the bottom file, then click in the checkbox of any of the highlighted files.
