    Converting music with dBpoweramp adds silence at the beginning & end of tracks



    As displayed in the link above, I have this issue where dBpoweramp adds silence onto both ends of my mp3s, regardless if I convert it to an mp3 of a different bitrate, or just a wav.

    This is actually a pretty annoying problem despite the tiny size of the silences, because, for whatever reason, iTunes can't detect these hiccups with it's "part of a gapless album" feature, and I can hear the skip after every single track.

    mp3 is not a gapless format, so the above is normal. When converting from a lame encoded mp3 file, dbpoweramp can remove the gaps from the values in the lame header.
