Orig file name in strings

I have used a few different dynamic naming strings to achieve the results I want. Part of it is that I don't understand programming enough to combine everything in one multi-use string.

No matter....it has worked fine.

What I need help with is conversion.

I'd like to batch convert without having to remember or think about how I originally ripped and just replicate the same thing in a new folder.

Under My User name (Peter) I have two separate relevant folders: "Music" (for FLAC) and "Portable" (for mp3). They are both at the same "level" in my tree.

It appears that if I use origfilename only, It will just dump all the converted mp3s into the portable folder with no artist or album. If it add origfilename, it recreates the whole naming structure in the Portable folder.

Is there a way to just convert and have it automatically replicate everything from the album artist folder down to the filename but just have it in my "portable" folder vs "music"?

So a file that was....
C:\Users\Peter\Music\Artist\Album\track artist - title

Is simply put in....
C:\Users\Peter\Portable\Artist\Album\track artist - title

but you will also need:


[trimfirstfolder][trimfirstfolder][origpath][][]\[origfilename]

Thanks spoon. When you say I will "also need" you mean that is the one I need right? The first one. Which is just origpath/origfilename won't do what I need right?

Also, I am thinking of moving my flacs from...
C:\Users\Peter\Music to a new folder called...
C:\Users\Peter\FLAC

Will that still work when I move them? In other words, does that string you gave me know at I moved them or does it see the original path as the original path when I ripped?

Use:

[trimfirstfolder][trimfirstfolder][trimfirstfolder][origpath][][][]\[origfilename]

and set the output folder to:

C:\Users\Peter\Portable\

Is there any problem with me moving my FLACs to a new folder?

I would move them from:
C:\Users\Peter\Music to...
C:\Users\Peter\FLAC

...and let iTunes (which seems to like attaching itself to the Music folder) play my mp3s from the Music folder instead of having that folder called "portable".

Does that change anything and/or will changing the file path on the FLAC files screw anything up?
