    WMA auto verify fails

I just tried the auto verify option after encoding in WMA lossless.
All files were 96/24 WAV and they all failed the verification.

    What does this mean?
I can play the files just fine if I encode them without verification.

You have set the frequency of WMA to 96KHz?

I am also converting the frequency: 96/24 WAV ==> 48/24 WMA lossless.

That is why it will fail, as it is no longer lossless, the verify check checks the data before it gets to the encoder, then later decodes.

I guess that makes sense but it is a little confusing.
If the verify option was grayed out when the sample rate was changed, it might be easier to understand.
