Error converting files in foreign language (Japanese)

    Hi,
I'm having the following error when I try to convert FLAC to mp3 (doesn't matter if 320, V0 etc):
Error writing audio data to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]

This problem only occurs with files that are in Japanese and with Jap tags, it doesn't happen with files that are fully in English.
I also tried different folder paths but it didn't help.

I'm using windows 7 ultimate 64bit and the latest dBpoweramp using lame mp3.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Try using the fraunhofer mp3 encoder.

Actually, fraunhofer only allows to convert to CBR mp3 while I want to convert to VBR mp3.

Is there a way to make lame accept unicode ?

Enable debug mode please, open dbpoweramp configuration >> music converter >>

then convert one file which fails in lame, and post the log file here (as text), it will show after converting.
