I messed up my FLAC and mp3 tags, I'm confused on how to fix them, thus creating a basic question:
In the Vorbis comment mappings in the Configuration: Codec Advanced screen, where it shows "Vorbis Comment Mapping 1 (x) to (y)", what is (x) and what is (y) and does it vary depending on what I'm converting from and to? For example, is (x) always the internal dBpoweramp name, or is it always the name of the tag in the source file that I'm converting from when I create a FLAC file? Similarly, is (y) always the tag name in the FLAC file, or is it always the name of the tag in the destination file if I convert from FLAC to another format? In other words, I don't know how to interpret these mappings:
- when I rip a song to FLAC format
- when I convert a file to FLAC format
- when I convert a FLAC file to another format.
Thanks for any clarification.
