    Encoding to AAC-Codec

    Hello,

when encoding to AAC-Codec I sometimes get a crash with certain wav files. I am using dmc 9a under windows XP. WHen trying to convert those files I get following this error message: "MPEG-4 AAC Technology hat ein Problem festgestellt und muss beendet werden." Then codec crashes. This happens to different times when trying a few times to convert this special wav file to aac. Does anybody know why or what to do to avoid this???. With most wav files everything works normal.

    Thanks

It is the actual encoder that is crashing, you could try subsituting the actual encoder (look in Program Files\illustrate\dbpoweramp\compression\in_aac or in_mp4)

and replace fastenc with aacenc (download it and rename it) or aacenc with fastenc

      Hi Spoon,

I did that but the codec crashes with the same wave files, unfortunately.

The best thing you can do it get in contact with the people who created that codec:
