Error message....VERY strange

I'm simply flabbergasted about this...Everything was great until today...
I just wanted to convert a .wav file that I just finished editing in Sound Forge 5.0, and after I saved it, I wanted to convert it, so I tried with dMC, and this is the error message I got:
The CODEC required to compress 'C:\Documents and Settings\Brad Venable\Desktop\Unearthly Growl.mp3' could not be opened.

WTF?
Somebody please let me know what the *$&# is going on....

Some of the mp3 settings must conflict, try different bitrates etc of the mp3.
