    Rookie Help

A newbie here looking for a push in the right direction. I have .mp3 files that are entire albums/cds. I would like break up the file so each song is its' own .mp3 file. This way I can remix/create albums to my own taste. What tools do I need and how do I go about accomplishing this? Thanks

Your best bet is to use a sound editor that supports MP3 files, like Cool Edit. Audacity may support them too.

Then, when you load your MP3 in the software, you should see the gap between the track on the graph. Just select parts of songs in between gaps and save the selection as another MP3 and you should be all set.
