convert .dat => .mp3 not working properly

aanyone tried convert a karaoke .dat to .mp3?
mine tend to play faster and the sound is distorted,

dunno if u could fix the problem?
or is it got to do with the Lame encodes?
i tried with blade too
same problem

It is the mp3 decoder used, you might want to try the mp3PRO input decoder from Codec Central.

I'd seen that there are more than one having this problems.
I've got the same problems, even with the mp3PRO decoder.
But...
Maybe the following can be helpful for you to solve this problem:
I don't have the problem on a .WAV extracted from a .DAT by VirtualDub.
