Hi!
I've been running dMC in VMWare Fusion on a Mac for quite some time, since version 11 or earlier, can't remember ...I've been using the Nero AAC encoder with the multiencoder to create two separate AAC files of each song.
Now I suddenly have trouble. It seems to be ripping OK, but the files I get does not play in quicktime/iTunes, and in VLC it plays, but yields no sounds ...
There might be at least two sources for the problems, first off, I upgraded VMWare Fusion to the latest and greatest. (It runs on the same Win7 Pro as before inside VMWare.)
Secondly, I just upgraded from 13.x to 14.x. (Thought I did it before, but it seems I only bought the upgrade, that I never got around to install it ...) :-)
When ripping, the info I get back looks like this:
So, what should I do to figure out what went wrong?
Some years ago I had trouble with the VMWare shared filesystem, but I hope that haven't re-appeared.
(And I never got CD ripping working in Crossover/Wine.)
I did download the latest Nero Encoder .zip and copy the .exe file over the old version.
I also tried using the Apple Lossless Encoder, and that works flawlessly.
Any logfile I could view? Any known bugs in this?
