    New Problem

    Spoon, I thought I had it working properly only to find that now I get this error when I try to use the compressed wav conversion:
    Error converting to Wave, 'C:\Users\Logan\Downloads\(Question Mark) and the Mysterians - 96 Tears.mp3' to 'C:\Users\Logan\Music\(Question Mark) and the Mysterians - 96 Tears.wav'
    Wave Encoder: Error Converting from 'Format Tag: 1 Channels: 2 Bits per Sample: 16 Samples Per Second: 11025 Bytes Per Second: 44100 Block Align: 4 CB Size: 0' to 'Format Tag: 85 Channels: 2 Bits per Sample: 0 Samples Per Second: 11025 Bytes Per Second: 2250 Block Align: 1 CB Size: 12'
    Can you tell me what the heck is going on with this thing?
    Regards,

    You have chosen a compresed wave file, it is that which is failing, try using the dsp effect resample set to 11 khz

      Spoon:
      I have the dsp resample set to 11025 Khz and the other is the uncompressed file, with the settings that I used there of 16 bit (cd), 11Khz, 2 channel, and for the compressed wav format, I used 18 KBit/sec, 11,025 Hz, 2 kb/sec, which I used before successfully and now won't work at all, but other than that I'm completely at a loss to figure out what is going on.

        You are creating a mp3 wave file? if so do not select the acm compressed option, instead select 'wave-mp3'

          Hi, Spoon;
          I'm not too bright these days obviously as I forgot to mention that the convertor was working fine on my XP machine, until the hard drive crashed and had to be replaced, then the mother board crashed and that was the end of that machine. The new machine I'm on currently is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, so that's why I'm confused as to why it's not working. The settings I used before were under compressed: MPEG LAYER-3, Attributes: 2 Kbit/sec, 11,025 Hz, Mono, 0 kBit/sec as I was trying to do MP3 to wav files. But for some reason it converts the MP3 down from 6 Mbs or larger to 0 bytes and I'm completely at a loss.

            Re: New Problem

            The codecs under compressed are supplied by the operating system, you do not install the default acm encoders, the ones present on windows 7 are different to the ones on xp, hence why I suggested you choose the option wheee dbpoweramp uses it's own codecs, not the system acm ones.

              Hi, Spoon;
              Thank you for helping me get this straightened out. I just wish that I could get the new converted music files to be as small as they are when they are compressed wavs.

                21Kbps is the lowest you can get with 11KHz mono, it would not have been 2kbps previously as that is no bitrate at all.
