    Edit ID-Tag, displaying multiple tags

    I have 2 files:

    1.04 Pink Floyd - Time.flac
    1.04 Pink Floyd - Time.mp3

when I view the files in Edit ID-Tag the multiple tags are not displayed for the mp3 file.

For example the Composer and Composer Sort tags for the flac show:
COMPOSER David Gilmour; Nick Mason; Roger Waters; Richard Wright
COMPOSERSORT Gilmour, David; Mason, Nick; Waters, Roger; Wright, Richard

    the mp3 only shows:
    COMPOSER David Gilmour
    COMPOSERSORT Gilmour, David

... in addition to the above post, my MP3s contain multiple tags for Artist, Artist Sort, Composer, Composer Sort, Style etc.

When converting MP3 (cbr) to MP3 (vbr), all multiple tag data is lost.

    (dBpoweramp Release 14.2)

Sorry, to cause any confusion. I've posted the above messages in the wrong forum.

The problems I am having seem related to R14.2 beta only.

R14.2 release does not have this issue?

I'll install R14.2 and investigate further.

OK, the problem only exists with MP3 files with multivalue tags edited with MP3Tag.

MP3Tag uses \\ as the separator for multivalue tags. dBpoweramp does not recognise \\ as a separator for MP3 files. If I change the \\ to / then all is OK.

To confuse things further, my Flacs contain \\ as the separator and there's no problem.

Please can you list the dBpoweramp tags that are potential multivalue tags?

\\ is not a valid mp3 tag separator, no more than if dBpoweramp decided to write ~ as the separator.

The tags we support for multiples are:

Artist, Composer, Album Artist, Original artist(s)/performer(s), Original lyricist(s)/text writer(s), Lyricist/Text writer, Style, Soloists, SoloistsSort, Artist Sort, Album Artist Sort, ComposerSort
