Does dbpoweramp run in the background? Interferes with transcoding?

    Hi there,

I've been having some problems with my video transcoding software and I've recently noticed in Taskmgr that there's some dbpoweramp stuff going on when I begin a transcode. The problems I've been having are all audio related, so I wonder if dbpoweramp is getting in the way of the audio channel. I don't see a tray icon nor does visual inspection of the running processing in Taskmgr show dbpoweramp having a long-running process.

Does anyone know if this is getting in the way of my transcodes? And if so, how do I get dbpoweramp to only run when I want it to run and never at any other time?

    Thanks,
    H.

      Looks like GetPopUpInfo.exe.

You can disable the Windows Shell extensions in dBpoweramp configuration.

Apparently, the <config> trick on the shortcut no longer works? How does one change the configuration options, exactly?

Reinstall, then you can access configuration.

Wow, that's kinda lame. Not even a registry hack. FYI, I uninstalled dbpoweramp. Transcodes are no longer having audio problems.
