dBpoweramp NOT displaying image transparency correctly

I have tried both a PNG and GIF version of my album coverart and in both cases dBpoweramp does not display images with transparency correctly.

I've made screen captures of the issue I'm referring to.

To be expected, transparency and album art are never used together.
