dMC Runs, but no files are made

I'm trying to convert a couple of albums from FLAC to ALAC. I've tried the multiple methods to bring up the dMC, and when I tell it to convert, the process goes as it normally would, but no new files are in the folder. I've configured it to put the new files in the folder, and I've done a full uninstall and reinstall multiple times. I've also tried converting MP3's and other files, and it's the same issue. Also, I checked the debug log, and everything seems like it's working fine, but there aren't any files anywhere on my PC that the dMC should've created. If anyone knows what might be the issue, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks.

Also, I'm not sure if it's related, but, when opening dMC from the Start Menu, it seems to take a lot longer than it should. And there seems to be a red border surrounding the window.

On the page where you select the encoder, click the 'List / Rename' button, this will show the exact filenames where it is writing to.

When I do that, it shows that the files are supposed to be added to the same folders as the originals with the same titles. I've tried Test Conversion too, but when I go to the 'Converting To:' drop down menu, the choices don't appear until I run my mouse over where they should be. I've done a full system search for any .m4a's of any variety created in the last couple of days, and it didn't show any files dMC should've made either.

If converting to m4a (Nero aac), you would have to make sure the additional encoder is installed (the help file for m4a details which file has to be installed).

Re: dMC Runs, but no files are made

I meant .m4a as ALAC. My computer shows no new music files of any format that should've been made, even after I tried converting from FLAC to MP3 or MP3 to AAC or something. Or multi-encoding I'm almost positive there has to be some sort of issue between the application and my PC, especially since the application worked when I last used it in April. The issue started when my PC bluescreened in the middle of a batch convert, and it persisted after I did a complete reinstall. On my Programs and Features page, it says that the R14.1 dMC is 16.2 GB and Release 7 of the DSP effects is 9.10 GB, in comparison to the 23.7 MB my entire Illustrate folder takes up in my Programs folder. I have no clue what's wrong or why there's such a large discrepancy in the sizes, especially since I know neither is that large.

Open dbpoweramp configuration, then Music Converter tab, enable the debug option and click ok.

Then convert just one file to alac and post the debug log which will show after conversion

Re: dMC Runs, but no files are made

The path you are converting to has \\ after 'Documents', it should not matter, but looks odd, so rename your naming string and try the conversion again.

I moved the folder to my desktop and tried a conversion there. Same issue.

Drop me an email please, I will add some more lines to the debug log.

I have a hunch that something is removing the file after writing it, I have seen that before (think it was a virus checker deleting the audio tracks).

Can you play flv (flash files) in Windows Media player?

Yes I can play flv (flash files) in Windows Media player.

                          Do you have another hint?

I do not think this directshow decoder is compatible with our directshow generic plugin, see this line:

                            Audio Length: 235194 mili-seconds 15055533 bytes 0 kbps

The audio section has no kbps which suggests a valid audio stream was not presented.

I installed once more the dBpoweramp DirectShow Decoder V2
which was downloaded by the page http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-directshow.htm
but it doesn't work. I have the same problem again. Within 2 to 3 seconds it "converts" the flv but in the end, there is an empty file.
