Batch converter not opening selection window

The title says it all.

Trying to right click in Win 7 64 bit, and choose convert batch. The process "dmcfileselector.exe" starts, no selection window. It was working previously, some months ago, when I bought DB Poweramp. Version I was using is R14. Trying 14.1 now. No dice.

I also tried starting the file selector off the shortcut from the start menu, just to see, and it results in the same issue. I have to kill the process via task manager.

As an aside, I did speak to LtData on this (as we speak in person daily), and he had no ideas, other than few eyebrow raises. Thus, I thought I'd hit this place up for some answers.

Indeed it can, at least on my machine (has always been this way since it was installed). See the screenshot. All it does is start the file selector exe, then select what you want, and convert. It works the same as using a shell extension.
