Have been using dbpoweramp to convert dozens and dozens of 24-bit 96 kHz flac files to Apple lossless with no problems until today, when I got the following error on 3 of 23 files I downloaded:
Error converting to Apple Lossless, ...
Encountered 'FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_SEARCH_FOR_FRAME_SYNC' in FLAC File ...
dbPoweramp converts the file until the error occurs, leaving a truncated .m4a which plays fine but is cut off mid-track. Tried reconverting and the error occurs at the exact same place everytime. Redownloaded the files several times and still get the same error. FWIW the original flac file seems to play fine in WinAmp.
Any ideas? Are the originating FLAC files corrupt or incorrectly formatted?
