Unable to begin using batch converter- freezes

    Hello all-

Bought Dbpoweramp a few years back and never really used it much- just a couple times here and there. Most recently about a year ago to batch convert a whole bunch of files.

Since then- reinstalled OS, and tonight reinstalled dbpoweramp 14.

When I start batch convert- I can't do anything. No expanding of drive folders, no selecting folders- nada. [Update: I was able to go in and remove columns from the file list area- that's it so far]

Uninstalled everything, used the everything uninstaller found here as well. Reboot- reinstall. Same.

Disabled Kaspersky for the reinstall and subsequent attempts at usage.

Batch converter opens with 'my documents' as default folder and there are only 13 audio files in that location. I do notice that it says 'reading meta data...' in the bottom right corner and never changes. Don't know if that's something or not.

Help? I've done all I can think of...

Addition- I can use standard converter

Try removing those 13 audio files to see if it helps, it is possible that one of the files is causing the lockup. If you can isolate a single file then I would be happy to receive it and take a look.

Wow. Can't believe I didn't think of that myself. Got rid of the 13 files and everything works fine now. Must have just gotten hung up on reading one of them and wouldn't go any further.

All 13 were unneeded files- so no need to track down the offender unless it somehow helps you.

      thanks!

It does help, Batch Converter should not freeze up. If you can identify which one is causing the problems, email:
