dMC and File Selector with WINE and APE

I'd like to try running dMC and File Selector under RedHat Linux via WINE. I'd like to convert APE files to MP3. Is there a HowTo? If not, can anyone provide any hints?

I've seen "just install it to the Windows side", but I'm gonna need a little more help. I've been doing UNIX since 1981, but I'm a total newbie with WINE.

Are there going to be issues with APE under WINE?

I know you have a lot of work on this fine prog, but will there ever be a linux version of it because it will a great help for the linux community (the linux newbys like me) and I'm sure it will be the number 1 soft in his category. written this in windows what i use only for audio & video purposes anymore. greets
