    Musepack Remove Silence Problem

When ever I try to rip an mpc file with the remove silence option in the Powerpack, the resulting mpc file is only 4k in size.

Does it create mpc files normally if there are no DSP effects?

Try lowering the % value that it thinks silence is.

Yes, it works without the silence effects. But will not work with the silence option selected, irrelevant of what % I set it to.

How many bit are your mpc files? 16 bit?

Sorry, how do I find out what bit my mpc files are?

Send an mpc file along to me dbpoweramp@dbpoweramp.com and I will take a look.

Sure did, tried it on mine and it converted fine - I had remove silence set at 4%, from beginning and end.

Try this if you would, rip a CD to mpc no remove silence, is it ok?, convert that mpc to mpc with remove silence, is it ok? Rip a CD to Wave with Remove Silence, is it ok?

                One of them will fail...

Ok, it's working now I've set it to 4%. Thanks.

                    Re: Musepack Remove Silence Problem

I have a similar problem but instead of "Removing Silence" which essentially acts like a noise gate, I just want to strip out the 2 seconds of digital zeros from the end of tracks. The threshold settings on "Remove Silence" is far to high 1% and far to short 750ms to keep from truncating the trailing reverb on tracks. All I want is to tuncate all but about 10 samples of digital zero at the end of CD tracks as they are ripped to disc.

                    Is this possible?

Use the "Trim" DSP, I think it is called.

The latest dMC beta allows a finer % to be set.
