Half the time, after entering a CD, dMC doesn't refresh/allow me to rip the cd.

This has started happenign a lot more recently than before.

I'll put the CD in my drive and dMC will just keep the "Insert Audio CD.." on the screen. I hit refresh, restart the app, take the cd out and put it back in, play the cd, and none of this works.

Anyone else get this problem? I know it's not scratched or anything because like I said, I play it and it's fine. Still though I can't rip it.

One thing to check is when you insert that audio disc if you look with explorer it should say something like 'Audio CD (D:\)' if not your computer is not recognising the CD.

If that were the case, how would I be able to play it? But yes, it does say Audio CD.

Try Audio CD Input >> Options >> Advanced and set communication to 'NT/2000 Built in (limited)'
