Duplicating folder structure

When using Batch Converter to convert a large folder structure, how can I keep the same structure for the converted files?

In my first tries, all the converted files wind up in one folder.

try this in dynamic naming, where you've also given a new base directory.

[TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][origpath]\[origfilename][]

for example. let's say I have a bunch of FLAC files organized by Artist/Album. They look like:

E:/Flac/Artist/Album/track....

If I convert to mp3 and want a mirror, I'll set the folder name to:

E:/mp3fromFlac
and then set the dynamic code above.

After the conversion I should have the same directory structure for mp3 files:

E:/mp3fromFLAC/artist/album/track....

when you select files to convert and say OK, you get a conversion window that has the codec you're using to convert (e.g., LAME) or the ability to select the codec, and below that you have the dynamic naming info. Just click on this to change and copy the code I gave you into the dynamic naming setup.

p.s. I'm not sure dynamic naming works on the free version.

That's ok. I paid for mine.

I must have done something wrong.

I wanted to convert from C:\FLAC\folder1\folder2\file.flac to C:\MP3\folder1\folder2\file.mp3.
What I got was C:\MP3\[TRIMFIRSTFOLDER]FLAC\folder1\folder2\file.mp3.

It treated the code as a string.

If it is showing [TRIMFIRSTFOLDER] then you are missing [] at the end
