Using dbPowerAmp Reference 14...
in dbPowerAmp Configuration, Music Converter page, the following related option is checked: "Update 'Source', 'Encoder', 'Encoded By' & 'Encoder Settings' ID Tags.
I'm finding that when I convert FLAC files to mp3 using music converter, and ONLY when the original FLAC was created with something other than CD Ripper, that the following two tags will NOT be put into the mp3:
<ENCODER>
<ENCODER SETTINGS>
Various things I've tried:
Rip directly to mp3 with DPA CD Ripper: works
Rip directly to FLAC with DPA CD Ripper and convert with Music Converter: works
Rip with EAC to FLAC and convert with Music Converter: does NOT work
Download FLAC from other source (I purchased an album or two in this format) and convert to mp3 with Music Converter: does NOT work
So... how do I get those tags to be inserted and set properly by DPA Music Converter?
...
while asking about those tags, is there a way to get the settings string to reflect the actual settings used with lame? "-encoding="SLOW"' is neither a valid lame command, nor is it the actual command that music converter sends to lame. (It appears to be sending -q 2)
Thanks
Gary
