Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
Looks like a corruption of some kind (of the ID Tag). Try a check disk your HDD to make sure there are no errors.

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
Well, I have several hundert of corrupt mp3 albums with this error.
I just checkd the disk - no error found.
I do/did convert them locally not on a network share and I use W7 Ultimate 64bit. I do it in the same folder as the flacs are.
What can I do?

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
Now by checking every album, I also find some where "replaygain_album_gain" is not the same value for every file.
Before:
Replaygain3.jpg
then I deleted all replaygain values and redo them:
Replaygain4.jpg

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
If you convert single files from the album then the album gain will be different as all the tracks are required.

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
I know, I did use all tracks - that’s why this is curious or wrong!

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
Not sure what is happening, it is perhaps related to how the word 'eplayga' appeared where an replaygain number should go, never seen this before and suggests something related to your system.

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
I will from now on check every mp3 album converted from flac. I tested yesterday with on album many times but this never happened again.
BTW, can I somehow enable a log?

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
There is the Audio Info Codec which can export all tags to Excel, do this for both FLAC and mp3 and you have a good comparison.

Re: Convert FLAC to MP3 wrong REPLAYGAIN
I am sorry, this is not dMC causing this...
I corrected all wrong .mp3s and now today some crippled reappear. Now I have even some albums with empty tags at all...
I don't know which software is messing up my mp3s. But if I google, it seems there are others too with that problem... (one with winamp).
Just search your mp3s for: "_gaineplaygai" - containing text, with Agent Ransack - for example.
Either it is Mediaplayer or Windows 7 itself...
