    Audio conversion question

    Hi All,

I'll try and put this as easy as possible as i'm not sure of the technical terms

I have some mp3 music files of 50's and 60's music (oldies).
I play them on my ipod which is connected to a 2 speaker set up.
When i play them the "singing" comes out of one speaker and the "music" comes out of the other. So if i connect only one speaker i either get the singing or the music. Hope that's made sense.
What i would like to know is can i re convert the files so that both the singing and audio play on both speakers and if i can what audio settings do i use. I would still like to kep them as mp3s so it's just the audio/speaker configuration i'm after. I've seen there's things such as split stereo, joint stereo in the convertion options, but i'm not sure if they are what's needed to do it.
    Hope that's all made sense.
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Audio conversion question

Sounds like you want to mix the files to mono. The Channel Mapper DSP can do this. Set the channel count to 1 'mono' and set the channels to Channel 1 from Channel 1 (-6dB, 50%) + Channel 2 (-6dB, 50%).
