Whenever I try and right click onto the ogg music that I want to convert, the music remains ogg. I am obviously not very knowledgeable about these things, but I would appreciate if someone could help me. When I try and open dBpoweramp and batch convert, I can't access my desktop, which is where the music I want to convert is. What is the proper way to go about converting these files?

Re: converting ogg files to mp3
Right click on an ogg file >> Convert To >> where the encoder is select 'Mp3 (Lame)' and make sure the 'output to' folder is set to 'same as original' -
Re: converting ogg files to mp3
Did that. My computer tells me it is converting the files, takes a few minutes, then when I check the music again by right clicking and choosing properties, the file type still says ogg. I don't want to make a million unusable copies in my itunes, so if you could let me know if this is ok, or if something is wrong.

The ogg file would still be there in addition to the mp3 file.Comment

Re: converting ogg files to mp3
I figured out that I needed to download a m4a codec, which I did, I think, and now the error message I get when trying to convert ogg files says that I do not have a decoder codec installed. Can you run through how I go about installing everything I need to to encode and decode m4a? Please don't be brief, I am growing very tired of trying to get this to work. I guess I am a complete idiot, so keep that in mind:cry:
Thanks.Comment

Re: converting ogg files to mp3
The clipboard is part of Windows, select Copy to clipboard (the button on the error page), then right click on a message you are typing on this forum and select paste.Comment
