Configure accurate rip - new drive

I have been using dbpoweramp successfully for a few weeks now. I decided to get a new external drive to improve performance, a SONY DRX-S70U-W and I just cannot get it configured, no matter how many different CD's I put in they are rejected as unknown. Can anyone assist with this issue? The internal drive of my computer is a TOSHIBA DVD drive and it works fine.

If the message is 'This Key Disc Cannot be used...' then just keep trying.
