Down convert 24/192 Flac/Wav to Apple Lossless

Has anyone any clue how ot down convert 24bit/192kHz files to the apple lossless format ?

It seems that the codec in dbPowerAmp is not capable to do that properly...
I get only completely distortioned files.
Converting to another format (e.g.) wav results in correct files, though these files can also not be (down) converted to Apple Lossless.

Use the DSP effects to reduce bit depth and Frequency.

Resampling to 48.000 does the trick.
