Skipping Downloads

Hi everybody. Been a long while since I have needed assistance. I had a major crash & want to reconvert my MP3s. It seems that after compression they skip. Also there were some that had an error about Direct Show filter for MP3 not installed. Can someone tell me what I need to convert. Thanks alot.

Skipping on which player? also what is giving the directshow error message, dBpoweramp?
