*.ape to *.mp3

Hi! well, I have problems when I try to convert an ape file to mp3, the program generate error and close it, I get the codec and everything but even don't work
I'm under windows 2000
please help me

Try converting it to wave, that will tell me if the problem is with the mp3 or ape file.
