    Helix MP3 install crashes

    Hi,

I uninstalled my registered version 12 and installed version 14 reference on computer. I was able to add wmv but when I try to install Helix MP3 codec, the installation crashes and goes into and endless loop. This is the error message:

"The program can't start because MSVCP71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

I was able to use this codec to encode MP3 files using version 12 of this software.

It is a Windows 7 issue I think, look in:

    C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp

There should be msvcp71.dll present in that folder, if it is right click on it, select Properties >> Security >> click 'Edit' >> Select: Users (compname\Users) and place a tick mark in the Full Control box.

Let me know how you got on please.

Thanks. It worked. I had a little bit of difficulty finding the file, but I finally found it. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit so the location of the file was in Program Files (x86) folder instead of Program Files.
