.SHN crashing in Explorer

Normally when hovering over a registerd dbpoweramp codec the opoup info box will show the file details. The problem with SHNs is that there is no info. With the SHN codec installed the shn.dll crashes explorer when the mouse cursor hits SHN file. I uninstalled the SHN codec and explorer is now ok. BTW, running WinXP Home.

Maybe a bad shorten file? or funny tag? - I just converted a standard mp3 to shorten and the popup showed the correct info.

yeah, but...

Unless the SHN is made with dbpoweramp there isn't a problem. The MKW Audio Compression tool that originally makes SHN files posts no info. These SHN files crash explorer (at least in WinXP) when the shn.dll from dbpoweramp is installed.
