Saving tags when converting mp3 to m4a

How do i keep tags when converting from mp3 to m4a
The source files have ID1, ID2 and APE2 tags set and the result files have all fields empty
I want to keep the TITLE,ARTIST,ALBUM ... fields in the result files set as well

    Thank you.

They should be preserved automatically, on a m4a file, right click >> Edit Tags to see if dbpoweramp can read the tags.

They are not preserved. All mp3 files have the tags properly set and all resulted m4a files have tag fields empty

If you select an mp3 file and right click >> Edit Tag, does dBpoweramp show the tags?
