ID3v 1 & ID3v 2 question

is there any way to copy v1 to v2 and then remove v1 tags and leave only v2?

In dBpoweramp Configuration make sure that Codecs >> Advanced, that the ID Tagging is set to id3v2 only. Then install the utility codec 'ID Tag Update', use Batch Converter to select all your mp3 files and convert to the ID Tag Update, this will do as you want (test on one file first).
