Ripping from Wav to MP3 Problem

After ripping from CD's to MP3 (lame) some of the resulting MP3 files always play fine on my PC but produce popping sounds on a DVD player.

I have uninstalled and redownloaded dMC and dAP but the problem persists.

I am running Windows XP and have used both a Creative cd rom and aopen burner.

Ripping from an compeditive & much less desirable progam is sucessful. Any suggestions?

It must not like your mp3 settings, make sure you have something simple (no presets) and CBR say 192Kbps.
