Hi,
I've been happilly ripping my entire CD collection to FLAC for many months.
The products been great, and my whole collection is now in the digital domain and sounding better than ever through my new Linn DSI setup.
I have an in car audio system that plays audio via a USB. It doesn't play FLAC, but can play WAV files.
I used dmc to convert some FLAC files to WAV. They play fine in the car and retain all the meta data, however, at the end of the track is loud burst of white noise.
This wasn't on the original FLAC, it seems as though the conversion process injects a second or two of data the cars system can't read.
Interestingly, this happens on most, but not all files. Only about 1 in every 50 albums is affected.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this?
Cheers
