I know how to create a custom field in the MetaData options, I think. I can't figure out how to populate that field with data from another field.
I want a field that contains Bach, Johann Sebastian rather than Johann Sebastian Bach to use as a sorting field in foobar. The field could be called ARTISTSORT. I know how to write the code in foobar to make this happen, but I'd obviously prefer to do it on the rip if possible. So, I need to know how to do it in dBpa. I can't seem to find the coding/text formula language and style anywhere.
This will obviously make a lot of bad data for band names as opposed to person names, but it's a lot easier for me to delete the value, when not applicable, after ripping than it is to type in the value when it is applicable.
Please let me know if I'm wrong and it's not possible. Thanks.
