dMC doesn't write tags on OGG conversion

    Running Windows 7 x64, R13.5

When converting any file to Ogg Vorbis, dMC doesn't seem to write any tags the previous file had. I have tried converting from FLAC, other MP3s, and still the same result.

If I right click on the the ogg, and click edit tag, it shows that there are no ID tags in the file. If I import the file into Winamp, they have no tags.

.MP3 files write tags just fine. I have tried both the original Ogg Vorbis codec and the Lancer version, neither work. Both codecs are the latest versions.

    Any help here?

Look in dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs does it list ogg in the decoders?

Yes, It does list "Ogg Vorbis Decoder" under decoders

Right click on an Ogg >> Edit ID Tag and try adding a tag manually, does it work?

I entered in a couple of the fields, and clicked OK.

Upon right clicking and clicking edit tag again, It shows that there are no tags. Importing into Winamp shows no tags on the file I attempted to add them to.

I should also note that I didn't have this issue until I upgraded to Win 7 64 bit from Vista 32 bit.

Try uninstaling dbpoweramp, reboot Windows then reinstall. Your upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit would not update dbpoweramp which needs resintalling.

Unneccesary. I did not do an upgrade. I wiped the hard drive and did a fresh install of windows. Dbpoweramp was installed on the 64bit os.

                In that case try R14:

A functional beta of R14, for XP and above (NT, Win 9x have been dropped). It is hoped that R14 will be code complete by July with a possible release in August or later. R14 will include metadata for life included with CD Ripper. Download: <now release> 4.6MB Registered users: Install over the top of your registered

The same issue is still present with R14.

Converting to ogg results in the converted file having no tags. Converting to MP3 file correctly writes the tags.

I found an old 12.3 release on one of my hard drives, and thought, what the heck.

The 12.3 release correctly wrote the tags when converting to ogg.

There must have been some sort of change in the code between 12.3 and 13.4 to cause this to occur on 64 bit systems.
