"Convert tag from filename" and "Edit tag"

    Hello all

Whenever I add MP3 files to my music folder
    (path format : E:\Music\Genre\Artist\Year Album\Tracknumber Title)
I use ""Convert tag from filename" to adjust the tags (ID3 v2.3).

This has always worked fine - until just recently.

With files more recently tagged in this way
"Edit tag" (from the right-click menu in Windows Explorer)
displays not only "Track" (i.e. the track number)
(in the position and with the information I want and would expect)
but also "track number" (lower case), as far as I can see
    with the same information.

How has this slipped into the tagging ?
(Older tracks in my collection do not have it.)

How can I get rid of this duplication ?

Best regards and thanks in advance for any tips
    Raymond Russell

You are using just [tag from filename]?

did you check if the mp3 had these tags before? you ran tag from filename?

      Hello Spoon

      Thanks for your answer.

As you suspected, I had been mixing up the effects of
      [track]
      [track number] and
      [title].

I have now listed the correct path information from which to derive ID tags and "tag from filename" produces tags as I wanted.

      Thanks again from Ray
