    Unknown Metadata

    I've just tried to rip a new CD, but none of the metadata sources recognise the CD (Freedb, AMG, Musicbrainz, GD3). The 2 CD set is a new one, Love Marvin by Marvin Gaye.

    My question : Is there any way to populate the track titles by importing a text file say? I can find the track listings online, but dont really want to type in the titles for 40 tracks!
    Any suggestions?

    If not I think this would make a good enhancement to DBP

      Use a tagging program, like Mp3Tag. If it is at Discogs.com, then you won't have to type or import. IME, Discogs provides the best metadata for the CDs where it has metadata at all (while Allmusic -- still IME -- covers more CDs).

      To use a tagging program afterwards, the following might be a good idea:
      - Use one folder per physical CD (OK, with Discogs it is probably more convenient to use one per release, but there's no way for dBp to tell if it doesn't have the metadata);
      - To prevent dBpoweramp from assigning folder names like e.g. Unknown Artist - Unknown Album and overwriting files, use a naming convention which separates them, like [cddb_id] or (safer) [unique] in foldername.
