Can not activate PerfectMeta

When I try the download link for the PerfectMeta activation tool, it fails to activate the access, and gives me this message:

"Unable to connect to dbpoweramp.com, check your Internet connection."

My Internet connection is fine though. Please help.

I get a similar message when I try to submit a disc to AMG.
I am using a Squid proxy btw.
