Converted AAC files - rating is 'invisible' to iTunes?

I have my main library as FLAC files, which includes ratings added via J. River Media Center. After converting to AAC files with Batch Converter, the new AAC files are then imported into iTunes (for sync to iPhone) unfortunately the ratings aren't kept.

Is there anyway to keep the rating when the files are imported to iTunes?

    Thanks.

I do not think iTunes stores the rating in the audio track.

I believe iTunes stores its ratings in its own database that dMC cannot interface with.
