    CLI Encoder Codec

I have installed the CLI codec to use with nao's new command-line QuickTime AAC encoder for Windows.

    (See http://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/qtaacenc/ and http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...er*entry682503)

What settings should I use in the CLI Encoder options window?

For the command line I've tried both

    [infile] --tvbr 100 --highest [outfile]

    and

    --tvbr 100 --highest [infile] [outfile]

...and they both seem to work! I would have expected the order to matter. This may be an odd question - normally it's hard enough to find one way to get things to work!

So what is the "correct" command line? Also, which of the other options should be checked/unchecked out of "Pass Wave Header", "dB write ID tags" and "Highest Quality Decoded Source"? Checking the first two seems to be OK, but again, is this "correct".

One last thing: is it possible to get the quality setting (e.g. tvbr 100) stored in the ID tag?

    Thanks for your help.

PS/NB Most of the contents of the help file, especially from point 4 onwards in "Setting Up" is all Greek to me. It's a wonder I've got this far... :p

    Re: CLI Encoder Codec

They might be taking the options out of the cli and all you have to have is in file before out file. You can store the quality if you manually fix a tag value with ID Tag Processing DSP.
