GetPopupinfo.exe Crashing Windows Explorer

This morning as I was in the process of converting some audio files, GetPopupinfo.exe caused Windows Explorer to crash. The Microsoft WindowsXP's automatic error reporting process to start as soon as I opened an audio folder with Windows Explorer and highlighted a file (in the right pane) to be converted. WindowsXP's error reporting process issued the message:

GetPopupInfo.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

How can I get this problem caused by GetPopupinfo.exe straightened out?
