    Bath Converter - path question

    Ho can I convert from S:\WMA\various\various\various.WMA to S:\MP3\various\various\various.WMA ?

I cannot see any Dynamic variables that do this. Thanks.

Thanks! Is there anyway to get a preview of the effect i.e. before conversion?

No I need to convert from

            S:\WMA\ignore1\ignore2\...\ignoreN\various\various \various.WMA

            to

            S:\MP3\various\various\various.WMA

            Any ideas?

            Thanks.

              You can use

              [trimfirst][trimfirst][trimfirst][origpath][][][]\[origfilename]

Ans set the output folder to S:\mp3

Re: Bath Converter - path question

Sorry to be unclear - by

                \ignore1\ignore2\...\ignoreN\

I meant a variable number of folder levels.

                So

                [trimfirst][trimfirst][trimfirst][origpath][][][]\[origfilename]

                doesn't solve it.

Can you create a folder out of a tag item?, such as

                  [artist]\[album]\[origfilename]

Yes I can - in that it works... but I don't see how that solves my problem,

BTW, [trimfirst] is unreconised. [trimfirstfolder] is recognised. But my attempt to make a fixed-level workaround using it fails - I get chopped pathnames... making me think there is a nasty string limit in the dB code.

There is a file system limit of 260 characters for the whole path

OK, but I think an alert is in order - silently chopping paths is not nice.
