Missing options?

There's no way to change the bit depth, sample rate or channels for apple lossless, flac or aac. Is there a reason for this? If I want to convert a 96/24 flac to a 48/16 flac I have to go to wave first if I'm using dBpoweramp (which I very much want to use).
