files screwed since arrange and preference

I just tried to "arrange"my music files and man what a mess.
it only arranged a few and reported errors with most of the others, being unsure of this process i had them arranged to a usb hd if it makes any difference.

now dap wont play most of my music, when i select a song or play in selective it runs thru a bunch of song and
    eventually will play one.

i also adjusted the preference on some songs at about the same time.

I dont see any relationship between the songs it wont
play, most are ape but some are mp3 and a couple of ogg.

if i should need to reinstall what is the best order to install all this stuff or does it matter.

    Thanks ,Bob.

Yes reinstall - follow the instructions in 'dAP - FAQ' on this forum to reset the registry.

I set to arrange by genre.

Wont uninstalling take care of the registry?

only found one item concerning reseting the registry, and
it says to remove the dbpoweramp key(folder)in the
registry,is this what you are referring to?
